This wiki-page is created to gather information and combine our efforts to make the wiki-page Pegasus be the best page about pegasus there is on the entire Internet.
See the writing rules on Elftown Creature Marathon. Help correcting each others' texts, but if you want to do big changes, it's often better to copy the page to a suggestion-pag So if you have any kind of text, image, link or anything that can help, please add it here or make a comment about it! People who help out a lot will be considered part of the work and will get credited on the best pegasus-page on the Internet when we're done with it. And we'll also select the best one out of us (Except the judges [Hedda] and [xido] that can't win, but we'll help as much as we can and we'll vote). And remember: It's not just you against the rest of the team. It's also Elftown against the world! http://www.goo More intro-presenta Intros Suggestions for chapters Outside Links - Sources: http://www.pan http://www.win http://www.lin http://www.ufr http://www.the http://encarta http://ancient http://en.wiki http://www.moo Pegasus was born to Poseidon by Medusa, one of the three Gorgon Sisters. 2006-12-30 [Sunrose]: 'it's not just you'
Fixed! :)
2006-12-30 [*Artsie_ladie*]: I'd be willing to help with writing. I put together a mini wiki consisting of a little writing, my images of Pegasus & I wrote a poem. If I can help out with any graphics, I'd be willing to, as well. *winks at [xido]*
*Artsie's* Pegasus - The Great Winged One
2006-12-31 [*Artsie_ladie*]: Is there a reason why there are no keywords typed in for this page? I was wondering why I couldn't find this page.
2007-02-14 [xido]: I hardly every get around to putting keywords on all of my favorite pages.... Not sure why that happened here, but it will taken care of in the next session, ECM Vampire.
2007-02-14 [Hedda]: [*Artsie_ladie*]: I forgot about it. You could find it with the Google search on bottom of the page anyway. That generally works much better than the built in wiki-search.
2007-02-14 [*Artsie_ladie*]: Dah, me! I never thought about trying that to find a wiki page internally. I'm so used to using the keyword/search feature, I guess. Thanks for the reminder! :D
Question: Is all of the text (info) regarding Pegasus going to be combined on one page or no? :P If so, I'd be willing to work on putting it altogether. :)
2007-02-14 [SilverFire]: I'd also like to help with that...
2007-02-14 [*Artsie_ladie*]: *grins at [SilverFire]* I think working together is always good!
2007-02-15 [*Artsie_ladie*]: Oh, doesn't seem like all that much, but if that's what's wanted, I'm not going to go against it. :P
2007-02-15 [SilverFire]: That's seems very odd - since that text has barely changed since the start of the marathon - what was the point in anyone else doing any work, if that was the text to be used all along?
2007-02-15 [Hedda]: If you have a better idea of what to put there, please do. But try to keep the start short and the further information lower below or on separate wiki-pages. And don't put the same information in many places...
You can always make suggestions.
2007-02-15 [SilverFire]: Suggestion: the current text reads as if there is one definitive pegasus myth - there just isn't. There are many different versions, and the text we have doesn't reflect that.
There is also nothing of his capture by Bellerophon.
(I thought the whole point of us creating pages such as SilverFire Pegasus was to show what information we thought should be there...)
2007-02-17 [xido]: Silvie, please feel free to make updates to that page, and I will check in on it from time to time to see that it is up to par. Another major reason for the separated pages was not simply for that reason, but also to make it easier for the moderators to see who did what and where. I am sure that the Creature_List pages will be a continuing resource project, much like the wikipages in wikipedia... They are ongoing as well. Since you are a Master Wikimancer, would you feel comfortable working with [Angel Dreamer] and [Linn Scarlett] on keeping these CL pages up to par and under watch? I am sure they would appreciate a close eye on that page while they work diligently on the CL pages. ;)

2007-02-17 [SilverFire]: I stalk the page already, so I don't see why not. :P
2007-02-18 [Elisha Kelly]: hmmmm... the text on the main page was supposed to be an introduction, or so I thought. Introductions should be short. I just had a look at the pegasus page and was wondering if there should be a wiki devoted to the myth also, since there are so many different versions, as weel as winged horses appearing in other mythologies also.
2007-03-20 [xido]: Thanks, Silvie. ;)
Elysiann, that seems a wise choice. Really, this page could use just about any information you can throw at it. The page moderators will help to put it all together in the end. Any contribution is a good contribution. ;) Did you think the text on the pegasus page was not short enough?

2007-03-20 [Elisha Kelly]: no it's great now, though it does rely very heavily upon the myth, giving the impression that the page is mostly about the greek Pegasus.
2007-03-21 [SilverFire]: My fault, sorry. :P Studying Classics at uni, as soon as I see the word 'Pegasus' I immediately think of Greek mythology. :3
2007-03-21 [Elisha Kelly]: :P damn universarian! XD
2007-10-29 [*Artsie_ladie*]: Just added my link & put "Outside Links - Sources:" above the 'external' links. :P
