2009-02-14 [Zab]: Thanks :)
2009-02-14 [Jitter]: Question: Older lore presents unicorns more similar to goats than horses, would such unicorns be allowed? Also, since the etymology of 'unicorn' literally means one horn, would this be open for all one horned creatures or typical unicorns only?
2009-02-14 [Artsie_ladie]: Good point, [Jitter]. :) This is open for both "modern, popular" and the "traditional" style unicorn. "Maybe", if we get enough entries of each style, we can pick the best image or two of each. There is also the ECM Unar Art, which is a curious mix of elf and unicorn. I'm open to hear about any other relatives of the unicorn and with some info about each to go with them. :D
2009-02-15 [Thistlewood]: It also depends on the culture as to what the unicorn looks like in their stories. I have read descriptions where the unicorn sounds more like a rhino than a horse.
2009-02-15 [Artsie_ladie]: Hi, there, [Thistlewood]! :D Yes, another good point. If anyone finds such information, please post the links to, on ECM Unicorn Text and don't forget to give yourself the credit and put "found by" with that you post. This project, after all, is to gather ALL we can about a creature, so Elftown can have the most informative creature pages on the entire internet!
Pssst... Now I know you must have some lovely art of a unicorn!
2009-02-16 [Jitter]: Oh Mangle this is so cute :O
2009-02-21 [FamousPanda]: Omg [Kuruni] You need to calm it down lol. Really great entry again. ^-^
2009-02-21 [Kuruni]: ahahah well, i have been productive! it's been a long time since i really participated on anything in here, and since i might get a job soon i wont have time to do anything for a while.
2009-02-21 [Artsie_ladie]: Very cute, [JajaJulie]! :D I had to open it in Photoshop so I could lighten it to see it. It must be my monitor, because I couldn't see another entry on another contest either. Is there a way to adjust the lightness and darkness of a monitor screen?
[Kuruni], another great entry! Fabulous! :D
2009-02-21 [Jitter]: I fell in love with [Kuruni]'s stuff at the first sight, this is no exception ;)
2009-02-21 [FamousPanda]: [Artsie_ladie] You can change the brightness and contrast of your monitor, it should either be on the front of your monitor or in your settings.
2009-02-21 [Kuruni]: Thanks ^^
2009-02-22 [JajaJulie]: Thank you [Artsie_ladie] :D
2009-02-22 [Artsie_ladie]: Thank you, [FamousPanda]! I did and it's much better. So this is what the buttons are for on the front of my monitor. Dah, me! >..< :) You're welcome, [Kuruni] and [JajaJulie]. :)
2009-02-22 [FamousPanda]: lol You're welcome [Artsie_ladie].
2009-03-18 [Kahri]: Hey, I'm having some serious problems figuring out a background for mine.
, Anyone have some ideas for me? It would be extremely appreciated.
2009-03-18 [Linderel]: A forest clearing and a pond, perhaps?
2009-03-18 [Kahri]: Oh, I like that, hmm, I'll give it a shot. Thanks a bunch!
2009-03-19 [Artsie_ladie]: Very nice, [Kahri]! You gave it a shot and it came out great! :D
2009-03-19 [Kahri]: Thanks!
