This is for you guys :)
I've decided to get off my lazy butt and do something for charity. (I'm working hard to find a good charity that focuses on eduation or the rainforests). I'll let you know when I find one.) I would like to create cards and post cards of fantasy art created by elftowners and donate all the profits to charity. You don't have to be a great artist, but remember, I'm going to try and sell these things, so do what you can. :) 
The theme can be as broad as you want, and not necessarily restricted to just fantasy. It can be a drawing, painting, photography, manipulation, whatever. :) And the last bit of it is this (and I have to put this up here): Three winners will recieve donation and contest winner badges, and the top two will get a request picture by myself if they'd like :), and I'm going to see if I can get wristbands from the charity for all the donators. Like any contest there will be three winners chosen by a vote, but eveyone that enters has the potential to have their art made into a card for the sale.

2005-05-15 [Aurinia]: that would still be a copyright infringement unless the picture was originally drawn before 1957 or something crazy like that. The work has to got to be original or else I could get in trouble...sorr
2005-05-15 [liiga]: Ah this sounds very nice. I hope I'll be able to enter. :) Hmm and if you're planning to put it on actual post-cards, might want to put something about advised image size or at least ratio in the rules. (I could use an idea of what those should be myself.)

2005-05-16 [Aurinia]: hey liiga, it's probably going to be various paper product, so if you have a huge image we can scale it down, or if it's a small one I'll turn it into something small, like a sticker maybe, but I'd prefer a good size like around 500-900 pixels those usually turn out pretty good.

2005-05-16 [Mr. Jim]: 2400 x 3000 pixels with 300 resolution equals good size :D It basically comes out to 8 by 10 inches. It just depends on what type of size your stuff will be.

2005-05-20 [liiga]: click on 'edit wiki', then look at the place where it says 'password'and then remove the password. :P and make sure it's set on viewable and editable by everyone (or the equivalent) in the drop-down menu.

2005-05-29 [liiga]: You won't get sued if the artists simply licence you to use their work for this and that. Removing all copyright from the work means whoever and whenever could use the pictures.
2005-05-29 [Asrun]: Yeah, as long as it's the artists work, you won't get sued.. :P We'd have to sue you for that.. And well, if we've entered this, we know what's going on and are allowing your to use our work for this project.
