Thank you for choosing Apeiron

I. Starting up
  A. Once you have loaded Apeiron, you will be asked to fill out a player profile. You are not obligated to fill out any information you would rather keep private. However, if you so choose, you may upload a player image and supply your contact information.

  B. Once finished with your player profile, you will move onto to a character building screen. Apeiron has a limitless character generating program. You can make your character, known as an Eidos look like anyone you want. Further modifications to your Eidos's appearance can be made in the game with different armor types and bio upgrades.

  C. After creating your Eidos's appearance, you must complete their Eidos profile. You must give them a name and pick their type, or Genos. There are five genos to choose from.

   1. Thief - Thieves are a chaotic genos whose activities disrupt the order of Apeiron. They tend to be psychically weak but they excel in stealth and cunning. They also provide other characters with high end items for cheap and are therefore a valuable resource.

   2. Assassins - Assassins are also a chaotic disruptive genos. They are strong and infinitely stealthy. They have a wide array of weapons and are very dangerous enemies.

   3. Enforcers - Enforcers are a lawful genos who protect order and morality from the chaotic forces in Apeiron. They are strong characters who act as Apeiron's police force, tracking down criminals and bringing them to justice. However, they lack stealth and not allowed to kill criminals unless they attack.

   4. Bounty Hunters - Bounty Hunters are a lawful genos that tracks down and kills the chaotic members of society. They are strong and stealthy and have no reservations about killing criminals. However, they can only kill criminals with bounties on their heads.

   5. Rebels - Rebels are a neutral group who are free to behave as they wish. They can either avoid or get caught in the crossfire of the other 4 genos. Their strengths and weaknesses vary between characters.

I. Game Play
  A. Once you have completed your Eidos, you are teleported into Apeiron. Apeiron has many teleportation pads throughout the city for quick travel and for people to enter the game. Once you learn the layout of the city, you can choose which pad to enter from.

  B. There is much to do and see in Apeiron. Namely, there is the interaction and struggle between the lawful and chaotic forces in the city. Each genos has a job to fulfill and by completing missions successfully, they receive money and experience. There are also tournaments or games your Eidos can participate in. All genos can participate in games and while playing, all genos are at a truce.

  C. As you complete missions and tournaments, you gain experience which allows you to ascend a level. As your level increases, two very important things happen. Your Bios and your Alke increase as well.

   1. In Apeiron, your life is represented by a number, called your Bios. They higher your bios, the hardier you are. Every time you are dealt damage, like a shot from a gun or hit to the head, your bios decreases. When it hits zero, you die and return to level one. You can replenish your bios with the proper items and keep from dying. When you gain a level, your bios increases by five. An Eidos can check their bios with a small computer on their wrist. In order to see someone else's bios, you need a scanning visor.

   2. The amount of damage you are capable of inflicting on another Edios is represented as a number called your Alke. Your alke can increase through weapons, mechanical armor and other upgrades. Since weapons and other external factors are so influential to your Alke, when you gain a level, your Alke only increases by one. In order to see someone else's alke, you need a scanning visor.

  D. There are many important items in Apeiron that can be bought or stolen. Items come in three categories: weapons, armor, and bio upgrades.

   1. Weapons come in all shapes and sizes. The most popular, however, tend to be guns. Instead of shooting bullets, guns shoot a glowing energy burst which will make an Eidos flicker and lose bios upon collisions. However, weapons like swords and knives are also used. They also cause an Eidos to flicker and lose bios as they slide through the Eidos like a ghost. Bombs, tanks and other weapons are also available.

   2. Armor can be both offensive and defensive. Armor can be thin plated, full plated and comes in thousands of designs. It can protect you from attacks, boost your strength and/or agility, be infused with weapons, or allow your Eidos to fly, walk walls, etc. You can buy add ons to armor that can serve certain functions like a radar cloaking device to avoid detection, or a bomb locator.

   3. Bio Upgrades are chemicals stored in bottles that can regain an Eidos's health or give them powers like extreme strength, speed, dexterity, etc. They can also give you levels and/or boost your bios and your alke. The more impressive the effect of an upgrade, the more expensive or the rarer they are.

  E. All the buildings in Apeiron are important and tend to be run by NPC's (non player characters, basically AI). There are labs were upgrades are made, hospitals, stores, factories, tournament buildings, headquarters for different genos or sub groups within them, meeting areas, etc. Exploration is encouraged.
