In the loud and noisy saloons, dark taverns and low dives, and merry brothels!

Take part of a punch-up, or become witness of an old style trial of strength inbetween of orcs, humans and other tough folk of all possible types!

Explore the city of Oslabad, with it’s old canals and waterways, bridges and fountains and impressive gargoyles, the ancient half-timbered houses and pagoda’s of the thieves‘ guild, the little picturesque lanes and dubious back yards, the famous harbour and the typical towers made out of old ship wrecks and parts of superstructure-work, along of the urban city ditch...

While in the forests there will be wild life and wilderness, animals and dense jungle, natural obstacles and unexpected encounters with beasts, hostile natives and aggressive monsters, in the city there will be a teeming of people in the streets, being bursting with things going on and caked with dirt!

So, you might end up in a shadowy lane, by the only light of a lantern gloom - making phosphorescent pairs of eyes flash up in the night... You might get involved in a street brawl, or seduced by a prostitute, you might win in a swindled dice game, or provoked by an unpleasant person, looking for a fight...

You might be picked your pockets by a streetchild, or meet disgusting personalities, humans and maybe even Kobold's, upon a slave market.
Might experience a merry festival in some snuggly tavern, where the people dance on the table, chant and sing!
Or might as well experience a challenge for a duel, by a crossbow-pistol slinger of the lowest kind!

If you return thenafter into the remote security and safetyness of the Enchanted Forests, it will seem, as if there never would have been time passing here, ever – And as if a garden of Eden would still be here to find...

If there wouldn’t be at the same time, as you know, the horrible menace from the high north, which appeared since several decades and brought fall to paradise - In order to threaten all the peace and harmony, while even the magic ITSELF begins suddenly to cease and die now, apparently!

Many things can happen, that you will not reckon with, even inside of the deepest and loneliest woods!
Friendly spirits dwell here, but also demons and creatures of darkness!

In some forests you are never alone and always watched secretly, in everything you do, and whereever you go!
The forests hide secret and ancient, forgotten places, harbour their very own flora and fauna... the nature can be very moody, and you never know, what you find in the woods... or rouse up...

You will find things, in the Enchanted Forests and maybe also lose things.
Will be witness of incidents and by-passing creatures, before which you might hide in awe in some cases, but in other cases also might meet with defiance in open battle.

The wood can be full of most confusing things... He speaks his own language.
He has cruelty inside, but also clearings.
It will be up to you alone and your courage, your reasoning and your actions, to interpret his signs, and to understand his language.

Your senses will sharpen up, every day.
The pathes of the woods and their creatures will become familiar to you, more and more.

You will see idyllic sceneries, underneath a bright and shining blue sky, with the rushing sound of flowing water in your ear, you will watch enchanted and fabulous animals, you will drink from clear wells, hunt and fish, you will get lost and find your way again...

Maybe you will even find something immensely precious! See something as beautiful and unique as a dragon or unicorn!
Or you will once even have the favour, to gaze a godly and fair being like the Jackalope! And to meet her.... and may it first only be in a vision, at the same time.

What is for sure is, that the map of Madrumah, which is an undiscovered document full of meaningless names of lands, places and towns for you by now, will become livelier and livelier for you all – with every adventure you experience in Madrumah!

It will become creases, tears and brittles, maybe even edges, burnt to black, and it’s paper will become older and darker for you, over the time.
But the WOLRD ITSELF inside of it, that’s how I hope, will BRIGHTEN UP instead, the same!

And: If you roam through the wild forests and jungles, or you move through the turbulent colorful chaos and clamour of the cities of Oslivan, Bannelon or Araatia, and the denser inhabited lands –

One not far away day, each single one of you, with his or her own special goal, will become in the very end, just what he ultimatively wanted to be from the beginning on...

Oslabad. The biggest pluralistic ( and almost anarchic ) free metropolis of the civilized north. Meanwhile the wars of the barbarians and their empires rage in the east, the tense situation in the lands of the enchanted forests inbetween aboriginal inhabitants and nordic usurpators comes to a head, running in danger to climax in a great, final and decisive conflict.

To times closely before a bloody war, claiming a many victims, the oldest forces of Madrumah and guardians of the woods strive feverish in all secrecy to find other means and ways to weaken the weaponpowers of Terromage and it‘s northern intruders, which are gathering now for a whole new time – and to bring their war machinery to slacken, where they can.

And all around the country people search in their name for capable and trustworthy questers, who shall give their contribution to that.

The old dragons of the world, the dwarves, the wolf-knights of Daarhall, the most important chieftains of the wild elves and also the representants of the pixy- and wood sprite tribes and cultures advertise everywhere – but especially in Oslabad – for loyal experts of diversest fields, who ( independant from another ) get entrusted with different, strictly secret tasks. Tasks, in which exact background they are not always let into. But which belong at the same time to this universal masterplan, the wisest forces of Madrumah themselves and their council have designed.

You and your fellow combatants belong to the hard core of those recruited. And to the best of the best, in their respective department.
Each of you represents another race or species. Each of you has got his or her own, individual story. Each one of you follows an interest of specially natured request. And each of you is ordered from another place...


What you all share is that you work together for the enterprise, to protect Madrumah how it has once been, from the final ruin and fall. The way you will be appointed will still respectively be different.

May it be now an anonymous, gloomy figure behind a paravon, in an awful oslabadnian tavern; may it be the far reaching insider-contacts of the witch’s guild; may it be the command of your dwarven clan duke - or the depeche, letter or message of an other person, assigning you with your task.

Hence of mystics, spies and mediators, authorities and lords who you serve each one of you will be given his personal mission. And lures you with big and promiseful reward. If now in form of gold and fortune, power and knowledge or other gifts after your hearts desire.

While only you as player of the respective figure is in the know about the nature and backgrounds of your mission, the specific goals which your figure shall aim to, and the exact biography and configuration of your figure ( incl. all skills and secrets ) completely! And everybody else only knows, what is already revealed in this introduction.

It is about the legendary, mighty riddle of Shalàss. This is all you are sure of. So much information will be offered to you all. While this is the matter of a magical and cursed book, which is treasure of an old secret dying place and graveyard for dragon’s, where they lay to eternal rest... well hidden in the deepest heart of Madrumah and it’s hostile and dangerous jungles.

This book is said to be inherent of a very magnificent power. Being a universal weapon against higher dragons. It contains an - over 100 worded - riddle that is logical, but still unsolvable, entirely. And if it is used against a dragon in the right way, it first drives them into wildest most furious insanity, and then into death.
Like a virus it takes possession of the dragon’s mental spirit and dissolves it, slowly and subtle like an evil kind of poison, until his super-intelligence is desintegrated from within.

And the order is simple: Go into the woods, find that ancient book with it’s riddle, bring it into your property, keep it safe and then return it to the one you are adressed to!

You have been hard at work, I can see this. So have I. Sorry I do not often stop in, but I do keep watch, and of course there are a lot of things that I have been on working to get some work accomplished.

Yes, yes, hard work. I went through all my old F-manuscripts for stories and noted what ideas I could use for Madrumah.
Got a pretty cluster of really nice ideas, there. Today I somehow landed up concepting the western island continent of those 'viking-like' pirates and hellwhale riders, Wûtaan.
Thumbed all my books about old germanic and viking culture.
And collected some ideas for places, gods and structure of a society for them.
Weird stuff, partially. Especially that old germanic gods.
That Loki was really some cool guy. ( What this dude not alll did until he was so unpleasantly shackled to some rock until Ragnarök ) * sniggers again *

I return the apology, there, will. Had actually already long long delved in your own wikis and began to study your dracology. But I neglect this and that in the moment - apart from Madrumah.
( Woh, and I only have got one single working electric bulb in the house in the moment even! )
I'll change out my lamps and get back to you later.
Mh, and yes, I am still preparing stuff of other nature for this wiki. A lot of drawings and background material. But it is fun - Despite it is work. I really enjoy to tinker on some own world for a long time.

I also love Nordic mythologies, and am actually running a real life game around Loki in the fantasy realm, on the Lands of Qor with my cousin here at home. Her character, an evil halfling, worships Loki, and has died, which means that I have to RP Loki after her death (and I wasn't even the one to kill her... Her brother's character did. XP)

2007-01-12 [Dr.Mandarian]: A whole lot of hours of work invested in typing, extending and revising my new Madrumah info wiki about Madrumah Allignments over the whole last day.
An immense long list of changes in my watching lists.
A lot lot things which are still to do.
But at the same time being in possession of an immense amount of new material for a whole new, complex Fantasy world of it's own, now, I brought in my bag along to elftown, eversince it has been worked out by satisfying degree of sophistication.
Not only anymore consistent of Madrumah, the land of enchanted forests, and a middle continent, but an almost complete and detailed out whole world, called 'Mystradawn'.
With already designed extensive scopes wherein I put all my gathered ideas of Fantasy stories I wrote in the past, taking place in several different worlds I once invented, and not belonging to a whole world concept, yet ( but suiting to one context )

Now including also extensive epical world history / mythology, a rich catalogue of all first Dawnae, oldest dragons, giants and dwarves and elemental gods, a catalogue plus descriptions of all the Mystra`ell, and other gods and forces of the world, Éadain and Morrodain of the continent of Éas, and the continent of Morrui, a catalogue of all godly creatures, elven, magical, elemental or fairy creatures, and a diverse work containing a collection of all the aspects sprung from them, and their thus later emerging other religions; The backgrounds to dwarves, elven species, High Men and superhumans, magical, fey or other miscellenous beings, inhabiting Mystradawn since creation of the light;
Much more extensive further material about almost all entire races and cultures of past and presence, along with whole new, detailed descriptions of new elven races, new high man races, superhuman races and special races, as to already find named in: Madrumah Races in overview;
All most important human species, lands and their societies of the world as it is now in it's third age, with various diversity and great number.

Just as I have furthermore gathered a bunch of files and already finished and worked out handwritten manuscripts, yet to be typed and posted in forms of much more complex and detailed out additions to already existent info wiki's, new info wikis and maybe also extension from the middle continent to the whole world Mystradawn with all lands, cultures and societies, it includes.

I have been drawing new art work for an own Madrumah character and impressions gallery, of over twenty own illustrations, plus new maps and heraldic symbols, have built a pool of non player characters and several big pools for many ideas of most different sector.
And I only have to give some finishing touches to some illustrations, and will then scan them all and post them in one throw, as soon as possible.
Along with all the new races, race addendums changes and reworks.

But now I am first aiming straight to sleep.

I'll take them in use as far as the whole concept is more developed, the new illustrations are posted and the whole lay out is more appealing, interesting and nicer to look at. 

And... I will of course also scan the self invented draconic rune script of my other Fantasy world, then, for your dracology wiki.
