2006-02-20 [Lothuriel]: ahh, thank you [Skydancer]!! *hugs*

2006-02-20 [Skydancer]: Welcome :)  There is one more, but that is ray tracing and much too complicated for me. :) in those you actually describe the scene and the lighting, surfaces and shapes and then the program renders them into solid forms. ACK... Bryce, poser and other modeling programs are like that.

2006-02-20 [Lothuriel]: I have only tried digital painting once, with my transformer up there...he has 64 layers!

2006-02-20 [Jitter]: Nah You also have done that spectacular cake! :D Franzi the drawing rocks!

2006-02-20 [Skydancer]: yep yep.. typically I have a few dozen layers in my photo manipulations. My more traditional style paintings done digitially often have a lot of layers in order to get the same effects as glazing and transparent paints would give with a brush and oils.

2006-02-20 [Ocean Soul]: There... my two entries. I thought I should create one originally forthis contest ^__^

2006-02-21 [moira hawthorne]: Loth.... can we use photoshop? if its not a Photomanipulations? and can it start with a pencil drawing or must it be interior drawn by mouse? or tablet?

2006-02-21 [Lothuriel]: It can be anything done with a computer, as long as it isn't a manipulated photo. What I mean by that is like acutally taking a photo of someone and sticking a tail on them or something...

2006-02-21 [moira hawthorne]: but it can be from a photo if it been change compleatly?

2006-02-21 [Lothuriel]: You mean as a reference...I am sorry, I don't know much about these things...please be patient...*hugs*

2006-02-21 [moira hawthorne]: what if I laod it up and you can say yes or no.. okay?

2006-02-21 [Lothuriel]: Ok, then...sounds good to me.

2006-02-21 [Lothuriel]: Oh, yes...that one is perfect~

2006-02-21 [moira hawthorne]: thx U... ok to find a second!

2006-02-21 [Cia_mar]: oh i have to enter.... can it be a piece from another contest though?

2006-02-21 [Cia_mar]: let me know if this will not was my first time using a digital program too... i liked it.. but it is so expensive!!!

2006-02-21 [moira hawthorne]: ooooh I like!

2006-02-21 [Cia_mar]: thnx! see ya all after lunch!!!

2006-02-21 [Skydancer]: Gimp can do nearly, if not everything PS can do, and it is free, it just takes quite a bit of time to learn the interface. Also, if you are in school, you might very well be able to get an academic version at a good discount.

2006-02-21 [Jitter]: Nice nice! I added one more too! :D

2006-02-21 [Ocean Soul]: Aw, I like that elf of yours, jitter.. she would just need a bit of sleep I guess *scared*
