2011-10-02 [Yami]: How are they cousins?

2011-10-02 [Lord Josmar]: It has something to do with the Greek pantheon.

2011-10-03 [Yami]: But Ariel's father isn't Poseidon/Neptune, it's king Triton.

2011-10-03 [Lord Josmar]: Next chance I get I will look it up again and give you the way they linked it. My phone is my only internet option.

2011-10-05 [Yami]: Ok ^^ I am very curious.

2011-10-06 [Lord Josmar]: Ok, here is the info verbatim:

According to Greek mythology, Ariel’s father, King Triton, is the son of Poseidon, which would make the sea god Ariel’s grandfather. Poseidon’s brother Zeus is the father of Hercules, so Herc and Triton are first cousins. The child of your first cousin is your first cousin once removed, therefore Hercules and Ariel are first cousins once removed.

Hercules and Triton’s cousinly relationship is confirmed in (this episode of the Hercules cartoon series) - keep an open mind though, Triton looks NOTHING like he does in The Little Mermaid.

This is the link to the Hercules cartoon episode being referenced. It is a youtube video:

2011-10-06 [Yami]: ah ok I see

2011-10-11 [shadow frost wolf]: Im pretty sure the child of your first cousin is called the second cousin. or maybe its both? Idk lol

2011-10-12 [Lord Josmar]: Yea, it gets pretty complicated once you break that far out of the first circle of relatives, but now that I am reading it I realize that "Once Removed" is the term for a person who married in to the family before divorceing/widowing out and then marrying back in. I think the person meant second cousin.

2011-10-12 [shadow frost wolf]: ah, okay.

2011-11-11 [Eyonic]: really pumbaa?

2011-11-11 [Lord Josmar]: Yep.

2011-11-12 [XxTsomexX]: pumbaa <3

2012-03-07 [Yami]: The actor who played Arthur (The main character) in the 1989 version of "The woman in Black" is the same actor who plays James Potter in the Harry Potter movies were as in the 2012 release the actor who plays James Potter's (and title character) Harry plays Arthur.

2012-03-07 [Lord Josmar]: Ok, I think this one confused me.
