The world of Nym
The Nymian Beastlands is a campaign setting for roleplaying games dealing with animals, bestial encounters, and primitive social structure. It is well protected by divine favor of the deities of nature, and watched over by the ruling race, the Faunarian whose culture and past is very secretive and simple by practice. Alliance with celestial outsiders known as Dinopriminals has kept the world in safe hands for untold eons so a simple world of the endless hunting grounds would be possible.
The world of Nym is not called the word 'Nym' by its own people, since that words means "alive"; all people are Omarka - part of the Omarkan peoples of the planet of which they are all very small parts. The Common language (Omarkan Common) is similar to the trade tongue of the planes, with some dialect and vocal differences, and a more primitive Omarkan exists which is used by the illiterate and often uneducated peoples of the savage lands. Faunar speak Sylvan - the language of fey and the sylvan folk of Faea'iir (the realm of faerie).
Nym is protected by the shapeshifting ruling class who operate under Faunar guidance, and the majority of members are those whose race is an animalistic anthropomorphi
c or monstrous humanoid with very bestial traits. Catfolk such as Litorians and Felynne are the most commonly seen form of the shifting race(s).
