2008-11-29 [iippo]: There's two routes: One, if your portrait stays in the Council Portrait Gallery for 8 months, you get full colour (the idea being that the longer it stays in the gallery, the better the entry, because the point is that other artists will "challenge" the image in the gallery by drawing the same council member, and if the counciller likes the new drawing more, it'll replace the other one in the gallery). So it's cumulative, the longer the image stays in the gallery, the more colour your badge gets until it reaches full colour. Two, if you submit 12 or more drawings of councillers, you get full colour. We reward humongous amounts of work as well as humongous quality. This again is also cumulative, so the more portraits you submit, the more colour your badge gets until you reach full colour. Hope that helped a little. :3

2009-08-26 [iippo]: Your name is on here, it's just not in alphabetical order since you changed your name since I added you to the list. And your badge only updates if you a) make lots of entries or b) have an entry in the Council Portrait Gallery for a long time.

2009-08-27 [iippo]: Yes but only if your entry is 'winning' (i.e. the council-member you drew selected to keep your entry in the gallery). So in the CPG your badge improves if you either work hard (make a lot of entries) or draw really well and make an entry that the subject really likes (because the councilmembers themselves get to decide what portrait they prefer to use in the gallery).

2009-08-27 [iippo]: Ah I figured it out now. The reason your badge updated the first time was because your entry was in the gallery. But then at some point someone else drew the same counciller, and she preferred the new entry and put that in the gallery instead. So that's why your badge won't automagically update further at this point.
